At the heart of the Foundation’s mission is a deep commitment to transforming India’s educational landscape. We aspire to deliver international-standard education to a broad spectrum of the Indian population, ensuring that excellence is not a privilege, but a right. Backed by a panel of renowned advisors and education experts, our efforts are poised to redefine the learning experience across the country.
As part of our ambitious vision, the Foundation is all set to establish world-class schools in India. With strategic land acquisitions and construction proposals underway, we have entered a decisive first phase toward building institutions that foster innovation, character, and global readiness.
The Foundation was established by Mr. N. Suresh Reddy in memory of Dr. Shyamala Gopalan, a woman of exceptional intellect, resilience, and compassion.
Born in 1938 in Madras (now Chennai), Dr. Shyamala Gopalan left India at the age of 19 to pursue a doctorate in nutrition and endocrinology at UC Berkeley—a decision that would mark the beginning of a remarkable journey. Her rise from humble beginnings to becoming a pioneering scientist and an influential figure in American academia serves as a powerful inspiration for generations to come.
Beyond her pathbreaking contributions to breast cancer research, Dr. Shyamala was a mentor, mother, activist, and role model, whose values continue to inspire not only this foundation but also her daughters, Mrs. Kamala Harris and Maya Harris, both of whom carry forward her legacy on global platforms.
She was, in every sense, a complete woman—brilliant in science, bold in thought, and compassionate in action.
